Last year saw record breaking attendances for the new-look, new feel Diss Carnival. With its new procession route from Diss High School through the town centre into Diss Park for a free family fun day that had something for everyone, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
This year, the Carnival is set to be better than ever before. Procession entrants will have lots of fun decorating their floats in this year’s ‘Water Wonderland’ theme, which acknowledges one of Diss’ greatest assets and the opening of the fabulous boardwalk.
The Fun Day will again take place right in the heart of Diss, in the Park. Admire the beautiful Mere as a backdrop, you can meander down Madgett’s Walk enjoying the stalls, take in the view of our historic market town or join us ringside for some new water-themed entertainment.
Anyone who is keen to help support this year’s Carnival, please get in touch.
A quote from an attendee last year
“Loved the Carnival, it’s the first time I have attended in years. Brought a tear to my eye to see all the various groups and volunteers working together. The view down Mere Street from the Market place with the parade and hoards of people was amazing. The Park is definitely the place to finish at. So good to see so many enjoying themselves. Great atmosphere everyone just enjoying a lovely sunny day with friends and family. I live in Palgrave…and have been to the carnival for the past few years…and I have to say that this year was one of the best ones I have been to…it is lovely to see such a huge turnout and have a sense of community spirit…was a lovely day out…so a massive well done for everyone involved in organising it…and for everyone who took part.”
